🎃 COME SPOOK WITH US! 👻
Ladies! I thought it would be fun to spend Halloween together this year, so Come Sit With Us is coming to my house!
Nothing fancy. Nothing formal. Just a laid-back Halloween night with good people, big pots of soup, all the fixings, and a front-row seat to the absolute PARADE of trick-or-treaters that comes through my neighborhood. 😂

🍲 We’re having a SOUP POTLUCK!
Bring a soup, chili, side, topping, dessert, or whatever sounds good to you.
And if somebody wants to bring cornbread, I would be MUCH obliged. 😂 Mine is never great, and I have accepted this particular character flaw.
Bring whatever you’d like to drink, too. Alcoholic or not, totally up to you! This is a come-as-you-are, eat-some-soup, sit-around-and-visit kind of night.
Costumes are welcome but absolutely not required. Come dressed up, come in jeans, come in pajamas for all I care. Just come hang out!
🍬 AND THEN THERE ARE THE TRICK-OR-TREATERS…
Y’all. We get TONS of them.
I’m talking at least 300–400 trick-or-treaters throughout the night.
We’ll be sitting around, eating, visiting, laughing and handing out candy all night long. If you want to bring some candy to add to the stash, feel free, but it’s not required.
Honestly, watching the steady stream of kids and costumes is half the fun!
🚗 A HEADS-UP ABOUT PARKING
Halloween gets BUSY on my street, so plan accordingly.
You’re welcome to park in my yard or along the street, but there will be a LOT of traffic and people walking through the neighborhood.
Another option is to park at the high school baseball fields and walk over. It really isn’t far!
And if you can sweet-talk somebody into dropping you off and picking you up later? Even better. 😂
Mostly, I just want this to be an easy, relaxed night together. Pull up a chair, grab a bowl of soup, help us hand out candy, visit for a while, and enjoy Halloween without having to do anything particularly productive.
Come for dinner. Come for the trick-or-treaters. Come in costume or don’t. Just come spend Halloween with us. 🎃💜👻
