Suitable for ages 14 to adult.Come learn with me! I've been teaching myself stained glass, and though I may not be a professional, I can probably teach you a thing or two if you're a complete beginner. As we make a suncatcher together, we'll learn from each other!
My name is Kara and I'm an artist and sculptor with a lot of experience with different materials. I work in fused glass so I understand a lot about how to work with glass. I'll show you some very basic glass cutting techniques, but we'll focus on foiling our glass and soldering separate pieces of glass for a free-hanging, free-form suncatcher mobile.
Glass, solder, foil, and other tools supplied by Emergent Arts. A $15 supply fee has been added to the overall cost of the class. Feel free to bring any tools and materials you may have if you want some guidance on how to use them.
