Based on the remarkable true story that took place in an isolated community, Come From Away is a critically acclaimed musical featuring an enduringly relevant script accompanied by a deeply moving score by Irene Sankoff and David Hein.
What began as an average day in the town of Gander, Newfoundland, turned into an international sleepover when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander welcomed the stranded travelers with music, an open bar, and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

ABOUT THE AUDITION
Please bring a headshot and resume if you have one. This is not required.
Vocals
Please prepare 32 bars of any song in a similar style of the show. Those who are asked to sing again at callbacks will perform a song provided from the show.
Printed sheet music can be provided at auditions/callbacks.
Dance
Each block will consist of a dance call with a combination taught by the choreographer. Please bring appropriate dance clothes to change into after your vocal audition.

Callbacks will be held Sunday, August 9 at Theatre Tulsa’s studio space from 1-4pm. Callback notifications will be sent no later than Saturday, August 9 at 12pm.

Video auditions may be submitted through the Casting Manager website. Videos are due by Friday, August 7 at 10pm.

Rehearsals will begin September 9. Performances will be November 5-8, 2026 at The Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
