Speaker - Chief Nick Martin of Upper Darby Fire Department, PA

Chief Martin has been in the fire service since 1994 and is presently the Fire Chief for Upper Darby Fire Department in PA. He previously served as the Chief of Operations for Salisbury Fire Department (NC), Chief of Training for the City of Columbia (SC) Fire Department, and as Lieutenant with the District of Columbia Fire Department. He has been a long-time member of the Kentland Volunteer Fire Department in Prince George’s County, MD.

First Alarm Strategy and Tactics

This course will prepare you to act confidently, quickly and effectively during the “first SCBA cylinder” of firefighting. We'll outline decision-making models for rapidly selecting the most appropriate engine and truck company operations each time.
