Who is it for
Priority will be given to Lansbury/Limehouse East Area women.
Women from all other areas of Tower Hamlets are welcome as well.
Our workshop will accommodate 20 ladies from our local community with the aim of supporting each one of you when you feel alone and need social connections during term times when the children are at school. This will help you to engage and add colour to your life through your creativity in a confidential social environment which will enable you to offload any well-being issues with the help of watercolour workshops. This will be a space for you to feel that you are a part of a social group, build on your bonding and confidence together, and help improve your well-being and communication skills.
The course will end with full participation acknowledgements, special guests and certificate hand outs.
The Teacher
Our teacher, Afia Choudhury, is skilled in many types of crafts like watercolours, mixed media, card making, cross stitching, journaling and crocheting. Over the last 9 years, she has found these as great hobbies, relaxing pass times, therapeutic and artistically mindful where it draws out the inner colours of life with meaning. She will be sharing her skills first hand and walking with you on how to bring in relaxation of the mind and body to help your watercolow flow out from your artistic mind. Some examples of her work on watercolours are below and more on her Instagram page @craftyme2017.
Cost
This is a free workshop funded by Communities Keeping Well.
