About this Event
Join us for an extraordinary literary gathering as three of Colorado’s most distinguished poetic voices come together for a celebratory reading of their newest collections.
On April 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM, The Shop at MATTER Bookstore will host an afternoon of language, insight, and imagination featuring acclaimed poets and university professors Wayne Miller (UCD), Graham Foust (DU), and Camille Dungy (CSU). Each poet will share selections from their newly released works—offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience fresh poetry as it is meant to be heard: spoken aloud, resonant, and alive.
Following the reading, guests will have the opportunity to meet the poets and have their books personally signed.
This special event is presented in partnership with the Colorado Poets Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Robert W. King and Beth Franklin. The Center serves as a vibrant directory and advocate for poets who live and work in Colorado or maintain strong ties to the state—championing the richness and diversity of Colorado’s literary landscape.
Come celebrate the written word and the enduring power of poetry in community.
Guests are warmly invited to choose the experience that feels right for them. You may pre-purchase a complete bundle featuring all three titles — a beautiful way to fully immerse yourself in the breadth and range of these remarkable Colorado voices.
Alternatively, you are welcome to select individual titles à la carte, choosing one, two, or all three collections according to your interest.
All books purchased through the ticketing process will be available for signing following the reading, offering a meaningful opportunity to connect with each poet and commemorate the afternoon.
We encourage everyone to prepurchase their books before the event as we cannot guarantee book availability without prepurchase. If you prefer to RSVP without purchasing the book, use the promo code NOBOOK to receive RSVP ONLY when checking out.
