About this Event
The Colorado Democratic Attorney General Debate will convene the candidates seeking to serve as Colorado’s chief legal officer for a substantive, issues‑driven public forum. Sponsored by Colorado Politics, the Denver Gazette, and the Common Sense Institute, this event offers voters a rare opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities, leadership philosophies, and approaches to the most pressing legal and policy challenges facing the state.
The debate will take place on Thursday, May 28 at the PACE Center in Parker, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Esteemed journalist Ernest Luning of Colorado Politics will moderate the discussion.
Candidates will address the core responsibilities of the Attorney General, including criminal justice, civil rights, consumer protection, and key constitutional issues, along with additional topics relevant to Colorado’s legal landscape.
