Color Out Here: Spring Community Hike

Spring is a season of renewal, fresh air, and new beginnings—and we’re celebrating it together on the trail.

Join Color Out Here for a relaxed spring hike designed to center and amplify BIPOC communities who want to connect with nature and with each other.

We’ll meet at Ken-O-Sha Park and explore the trails at a comfortable pace, taking time to notice the early signs of spring—budding trees, returning birds, flowing water, and the feeling of the forest waking up after winter.

This gathering is about movement with meaning: sharing stories, laughter, and the simple joy of being outdoors together.

Whether you're an experienced hiker or just looking for a welcoming way to spend a spring morning outside, you belong here.

What to expect
• A guided group hike on scenic park trails
• Community-centered conversation and storytelling
• Time to slow down, notice nature, and connect with others

What to bring
• Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots
• Layers for changing spring weather
• A water bottle
• Optional: a small backpack, snacks, or a camera

We’ll hike at a comfortable pace and take breaks as needed.

After the hike, we’ll gather for coffee, donuts, and conversation - a chance to warm up, relax, and continue connecting as a community.
