It's time to get ready for the Colony Christmas cookie contest!
Now hosted at the Mat-Su Sentinel office during the Saturday Colony Christmas festivities, this year's contest will include:
Winners in two categories: adult (ages 15+ ) and youth (14 and under).
Celebrity* judges: Julia O'Malley (award-winning food writer); David Boortz (owner, Lekker Coffee & Baking Co.); Amy Bushatz (founder, Mat-Su Sentinel).
Cookie drop-off: 1-2 p.m.
Cookie winner announcement: 3 p.m.
Pre-registration not required. Simply bring at least five cookies by the Mat-Su Sentinel office by 2 p.m. during Colony Christmas festivities!
Cookies will be judged on four equally weighted criteria:
🍪 **Taste and flavor**
🎨 **Appearance and presentation**
✨ **Creativity and originality**
👩🍳 **Texture and execution**
