Colonial Music Concert

A concert of vocal and instrumental music from the American Colonial period, “America at 250 Years,” will be presented by the Riverview Early Music group at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at Church of the Holy Spirit, 2871 Barndt Road at Sumneytown Pike, Harleysville. Performing on period instruments, the group will perform sacred hymns, pop and theater music, dance tunes, dramatic ballads and stirring songs of rebellion. The music will give the audience an opportunity to experience the sounds and stories that shaped everyday life in Colonial America. A reception follows. A $25 donation is suggested.
