This hands-on workshop is designed to teach participants how to make three different types of pastry. Using 17th and 18th century techniques and traditional recipes, the group will make both sweet and savory treats, including cheese tart and pork pie. Participants will also be invited to take another of their creations home to share. Fee for this program is $45 per person, payable by cash or check. This workshop will be led by Erin Czernecki, a local historian with 13 years of experience, training and hearth cooking experience. She has attended numerous workshops in hearth cooking at Genesee Country Village & Museum and Historic Deerfield and has presented historic food demonstrations at historic sites and conferences.
