We are excited to have Dr Stuart Higgins (University of York) & Dr Julia Sero University of Bath for our latest UK Metamaterials Network Colloquium. This is a hybrid talk that will be taking place over Zoom on Friday 12th July, 12:30 - 13:30 (GMT) and at in Physics 124, Physics Building at the Unviersity of Exeter.
Dr Stuart Higgins is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering in the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, at the University of York. His research focuses on developing bioelectronics and biomaterials for interfacing with biological systems. He also explores research culture and its role in science and academia.
Dr Julia Sero is a Lecturer in the Department of Biology and Biochemistry and a member of the Centre for Therapeutic Innovation at Bath. Dr Sero is broadly interested in mechanotransduction, the processes by which cells sense, respond to, and generate physical forces.
