Explore College for Living
The solution for families who want independence but still need support.
Welcome to College for Living, a program of Day Spring! Join us for a fun and FREE informational event and discover what a college experience can look like for a young adult with an intellectual or developmental disability.
Whether you are a prospective student, parent, family member, or agency representative, this is a great opportunity to explore our campus, meet our staff, and learn how College for Living is helping young adults build the skills, confidence, and experience they need to live more independently.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary lunch and learn more about the program’s commuter and residential options, as well as the life-skills training, mentorship, and community-building opportunities available to students.
College for Living is the only residential life-skills training program of its kind in our community, giving families a pathway forward when independence is the goal, but support is still needed. Through hands-on learning and meaningful experiences, students develop greater confidence, strengthen everyday life skills, and build the foundation for a more independent future.

"Last night, our students kicked off their first Kitchen Masters class of the month by learning how to make a quick and easy Chicken Pasta Salad. They practiced reading through the recipe, trying something fresh and healthy, working with a partner, and dividing up grocery responsibilities for next week when they make the dish themselves.Independence isn’t built only through big milestones. Sometimes it’s built one grocery list, one recipe, and one bowl of pasta salad at a time. Based on the smiles we may have some new members to team pasta salad (no tomatoes)!"
