Collection Bites - Manchester Museum: A brief architectural history

In a beautiful 130-year old Alfred Waterhouse building, Manchester Museum stands proud as part of the University of Manchester on Oxford Road. Visitors lose themselves in stories of what it is to be human and rethink their relationships with the natural world, but how many really think about the museum itself?
Focusing on architecture, this Collection Bites will take you on a journey through time. The history of the museum and its buildings tell the stories of change that have shaped the Manchester Museum that we all know and love today.

Collection Bites is an adult programme, however the content is suitable for all ages. The talks take place on the first Wednesday of each month and are approx. 30 minutes, and will take place in the Research Studio on the Second Floor (accessible by stairs or lift).
