About this Event

Calling all Harlem families!

Come on out and join artist Elan Cadiz for her fun mixed-media classes designed for the whole family. We will build, cut, rip, draw, paste, and more. Each class will highlight a topic, and participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind collage.

Saturday, June 27
Theme: JUNETEENTH Quilt Project

In the celebration of Juneteenth, this specialized collage workshop will highlight the use of visual arts to tell stories. Each participant will construct a panel of our community quilt, illustrating a story of freedom through the use of fabric, markers, and paint.

Time: 1 to 3 pm
For: Families with children, but adults are welcome as well. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop-off allowed.
Fee: $5 or Pay-What-You-Can
On June 27 (noon to 6 pm), CAC is also hosting an open studio event. Step inside the workspace, open to the public for a special studio visit. Meet CAC Artists, see their creative process in action before or after this collage workshop.
