coline cornélis
artist and composer coline cornelis has etched out a singular audiovisual universe where sound, space, shapes, and textures meet to form a whole. whether djing for adventurous dancefloors, through her residencies on refuge worldwide and lyl Radio, or on the occasion of collaborations with fellow artists, she creates aural environments that envelope listeners and dancers in a dynamic universe of field recordings, bass-heavy rhythms, and left-field electronics. now,
her practice increasingly involves her own sound designs.
with a keen sensitivity to emotional arc and narrative, she weaves together sets that serve as sonic meditations on a central theme. her own drawings often accompany the music, guiding listeners’ imaginations toward moments of introspection. delighting in moments of awakening or uncovering the previously concealed, her sets dodge usual genre identifiers in favour of becoming subjective, multimedia energy aggregations. taking cues from nature, a cinematic, almost mystical quality hums below the surface.
her drawing style is simple and sparse: attention to detail, empty space, and silence carry weight equally significant to the other elements. the drawings highlight everyday feelings, like two friends huddled together, or a simple expression of harmony in nature. the pairing of her illustrations and her experimental hybrid sets form a surprising, potent av show.
living and working in brussels, she performs regularly at contemporary art institutions and has completed several residencies at beursschouwburg and bozar for example. recently, she has been programmed on the lineups of dour and horst festival.

Rupert Clervaux is an experimental musician, writer, and audio engineer, originally from London and now living in Mallorca. He was a founder member of Sian Alice Group (2007-2012), and since then has collaborated on numerous projects with, amongst others, Beatrice Dillon, Ben Vince, Zoë Mc Pherson, Spring Heel Jack, HMOT, the Radiophonic Workshop and, most recently, with Dania on the 2023 LP ‘Acción y Destino’.
As a solo artist, Rupert released ‘After Masterpieces’ in May 2019––his first solo-LP, and also the first LP to be released on the influential electronic label AD93. The record is a collection of six poems set to music, and features two collaborations with American experimental artist and singer Anna Homler. And since 2017 he has created four instalments of his ‘Zibaldone of CVX’ series––a project which sets audio excerpts of existing poetic texts, philosophical discourse and critical thought within a wide array of music production techniques.
Extensive international touring and live performances in support of these projects have seen Rupert appear at All Tomorrow’s Parties (UK/USA), MONA FOMA in Tasmania, Rewire Festival in The Hague, Urvakan Festival in Yerevan, Brusfest in Moscow, SXSW, and London's Southbank Centre and Cafe Oto to name a few. In his role as a mix and mastering engineer, his credits over the past decade include releases by a wealth of acclaimed experimental, electronic and improvisational artists.
