Colin Cutler: Folk? Country? Blues? Rock and Roll? Sugar, vinegar, or spice? When Colin Cutler shows up, it's all on the table. Cutler is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based singer-songwriter, folk musician, poet, and storyteller toting a banjo and guitar. Whether solo or with his band, Hot Pepper Jam, he is a wide-ranging performer whose songs and musical roots draw from the breadth of American folk music—from Appalachian oldtime to blues to gospel to country to rock’n’roll—to form what No Depression has described as “one magnificent tapestry of roots music.”. Rigby Summer weaves an Americana soundscape that reflects the road she’s traveled from her Kansas City jazz upbringing to the beach pop of her former home in southern California to the Red Dirt roots of her longtime home in Stillwater, Oklahoma and the winds of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, where she’s toured extensively and now makes her second home. The result is an eclectic cosmic Americana sound that often draws comparisons to Brandi Carlile and Lucinda Williams—a little modern, a little old-fashioned, always earnest
Billie Feather is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, luthier, and educator whose solo performances weave together classical precision, jazz improvisation, and the storytelling traditions of American roots music. Originally from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and now based in North Carolina, she performs on guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin, creating intimate, genre-blurring sets that highlight both technical artistry and emotional depth. Feather has toured nationally and internationally across a wide range of musical styles and leads her own project, The Hallway Waltz.
