This meeting brings together practitioners, researchers, volunteers, and organisations working with Cold War sites, collections, and interpretation.

As part of the day, you will also have the opportunity to explore this remarkable underground military complex, learning about its Cold War role as a Regional Seat of Government and hearing from the Drakelow Tunnels Museum team about their ongoing restoration work.

Practical Information:

Footwear & Clothing: Please wear sturdy footwear and suitable warm clothing. The tunnels are damp and maintain a constant temperature of 10.5°C year‑round.

Accessibility: Due to ongoing construction work within the tunnels, Drakelow Tunnels Museum is currently unable to support wheelchair access. The Museum is committed to improving accessibility and looks forward to accommodating wheelchair users once construction work is completed.
