Ballroom loodi 1960. aastatel Harlemis, New Yorgis, mustanahaliste ja ladina transnaiste poolt, kes kogesid rassismi valgete korraldatud võistlustel. Ballroom on maa-alune subkultuur BIPOC LGBTQ+ kogukonna jaoks, ning see on kultuuriruum, kus osalejad võistlevad erinevates ilu, keha, moe ja tantsu kategooriates.
Kui sa pole kogukonnast pärit, vii end kultuuriruumiga kurssi ning austa seda. Kui soovid võistelda, uuri ka eelnevalt kategooriate kohta. Kui on küsimusi, võta julgelt ühendust korraldajatega, kes heameelega sind aitavad.
❌ Koht ei talu mingit diskrimineerimise või ahistamise vormi rassi, rahvusliku päritolu, geneetilise informatsiooni, seksuaalse orientatsiooni, soo (sh sooidentiteedi ja -väljenduse) või muude omaduste alusel.

The Cold as Ice theme brings winter elegance to the stage: the sparkle of ice crystals and the serene beauty of frozen stillness.
Imagine silky, glossy fabrics, sheer layers, metallic reflections, and a play of crisp tones — grey, white, silver, and icy blue.
Add a touch of cold luxury with sparkling stones, feathers, crystals, or a frosted effect. Less isn’t more — more is just icier. ❄️💎
The dress code is mandatory for all competitors, but not for the audience — though you’re welcome to let your own style freeze in the same elegance and shimmer!

💥 WHAT IS BALLROOM
Ballroom was created by black and latin trans women back in Harlem, New York at the late 1960s, due to racism they faced within the white pageant scene. Ballroom is an underground subculture by and for the BIPOC LGBTQ+ community and it is a space where participants walk different categories in beauty, body, fashion and performance.
If you are not from the community, please be mindful of the space you take. If you would like to walk/participate, learn and study the categories beforehand. If there's any questions, please contact the organizer team and they will help you.
❌ The venue will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, national origin, genetic information, sex, sexual orientation, gender (including gender identity and expression) or any other characteristic.
Breaking the atmosphere will result in you being asked to leave!
