Coilguns (CH - Punk Noise-Rock)
The Swiss noise-rock band Coilguns - Jona Nido (guitar), Louis Jucker (vocals), Luc Hess (drums), alongside longtime collaborator Kevin Galland (bass, synth) - have been playing together in various forms for over twenty years. They first met as teenagers in their hometown of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, before officially forming Coilguns in 2011 while touring internationally with berlin based collective The Ocean.
After building a strong reputation through intense and uncompromising live shows, Coilguns released their debut album Commuters in 2013, recorded live in the studio and quickly
associated with the raw edge of bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan or Converge. Their following releases, Millennials (2018) and Watchwinders (2019), were written, recorded and mixed under extreme time pressure, a risky process that became a defining element of the band’s identity and helped them gain attention all across Europe and the UK.
Today, Coilguns stand out as a noise-rock band capable of connecting hardcore intensity with indie and alternative audiences. Their concerts are known not only for their physical energy, but also for their inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, deliberately creating safe spaces where different scenes, bodies and crowds can meet on equal ground. For these May shows, Coilguns return with a new single and a best-of setlist spanning their catalogue, enriched with brand new material, designed to deliver a powerful, direct and collective live experience.
