Read Local! A panel of three area authors will get together to talk about their writing and publishing experiences on Saturday, May 4, 11:00 AM-12:30 PM. Held in person, with a virtual option available for the discussion portion of the program. Advance registration by Thursday, May 2, is required only for the virtual option. Rhodesian Doll Hunt (Caper Crew Publishing, 2024)
A graduate of Northeastern, C. L. Manning has managed clinical laboratories at M.I.T. and academic medical centers in Boston, performed research at the University of Lund Hospital in Sweden, and founded an international exchange of medical laboratory scientists that spanned 11 countries. An avid traveler, he has journaled his way through over fifty countries. Rhodesian Doll Hunt is his first novel, loosely based on his 1979 African travel journal.

Bea Beluga’s Big Adventure (May 2024)
Carolyn Killian is the author of a series of children's picture books, illustrated by Annabelle Zhang, all featuring the cutest little beluga whale. Starting with Bea Beluga and the Magic Tutu in 2020, the self-published series includes Bea Beluga Meets a New Friend and Bea Beluga's First Yoga Class, as well as the latest one -- Bea Beluga's Big Adventure.

Dancing Between the Raindrops: A Daughter's Reflections on Love and Loss (Sea Crow Press, 2024)
Lisa Braxton is the author of the memoir in essays, Dancing Between the Raindrops, and the novel, The Talking Drum, winner of a 2021 Independent Publisher (IPPY) Book Awards Gold Medal, overall winner of Shelf Unbound book review magazine’s 2020 Independently Published Book Award, winner of a 2020 Outstanding Literary Award from the National Association of Black Journalists, and a Finalist for the International Book Awards.
Program will be held in Logan Auditorium on the Upper Level, accessible to all. Coffee with Local Authors is free and open to the public. Books will be made available for purchase by the authors. No purchase is necessary to attend.
Complimentary light refreshments will be served.
No registration is required for the in-person option, unless you would like to receive an automated reminder about the event.
