Building relationships. One cup at a time. The Rhinelander District Library invites community members to Coffee with a Cop on Thursday, August 6th, 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the library meeting room. Coffee with a Cop (or Firefighter!) provides community members with an opportunity to talk to their local police officers and firefighters. Adults can drop by any time between 9:00-11:00 a.m. to ask questions or share what’s on their mind.
Coffee with a Cop began as a grassroots initiative in March 2011 in Hawthorne, California. The initiative was an effort to better understand the needs and concerns of community residents. Since then, Coffee with a Cop’s mission of breaking down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve has successfully spread to all 50 states and 14 countries.
