Below the Surface: Coffee Tasting
Below the Surface is Deaf Shark Coffee’s educational experience series, created to help customers better understand the coffee they drink every day. Each edition explores a different part of specialty coffee through guided, interactive experiences.
For this first edition, we are focusing on coffee tasting.
During the experience, guests will participate in a guided coffee cupping, explore five aroma samples, learn how to identify flavor, acidity, sweetness, body, and aftertaste, and discover how coffee professionals evaluate different coffees.
You will also be introduced to green coffee beans and watch a small roasting demonstration using our in-store mini roaster. This portion is designed as an introduction to the roasting process.
