COFFEE + CODE + CONNECTIONS: WHERE TECHNOLOGY, AI & BUSINESS CONNECT

This isn’t a conference or a technical workshop. It’s an opportunity to get in the room with people working in and with tech.
About this Event

Join the Virginia Black Chamber for a special technology-focused Coffee & Connections

Bringing together tech entrepreneurs, AI innovators, business owners, professionals, and ecosystem partners to exchange ideas, explore emerging technology, and create opportunities for collaboration.

What happens in the room?

I would give the event some intentional structure rather than making it only open networking:

• AI & Tech Talk: A short conversation with 2–3 people working in different areas of technology about what they’re seeing in the industry.
• What Are You Building? Give tech entrepreneurs 30–60 seconds to introduce themselves and what they’re working on.
• Collaboration Exchange: Attendees share either “I’m looking for…” or “I can help with…” This immediately creates opportunities for connections.
• Tech Meets Business: A practical conversation about how AI, cybersecurity, software, data, automation, digital tools, and emerging technologies are affecting businesses beyond the traditional tech sector.
• Coffee + Connections: Dedicated networking time for people to actually continue the conversations.

That last piece is important because it makes the event relevant to every industry. A construction company, nonprofit, retailer, government contractor, marketing agency, restaurant owner, or consultant may not consider themselves “tech,” but technology is affecting how they operate.
