Ryan Jor El is an author, speaker, and host dedicated to paying it forward through family, faith, and fatherhood. With nearly 20 years in the fashion industry, his passion for purpose led him to create Black Fathers Rock, a nonprofit aimed at changing the narrative around Black fatherhood. A recognized community leader, Ryan has earned numerous honors, including UNC Charlotte’s Top 10 Under 10, SouthPark Magazine’s "It List", and Who’s Who in Black Charlotte. When he’s not mentoring through Kappa Alpha Psi or co-hosting REALationship Talk with his wife, Tracy Marie, he’s being a devoted father to his three children.
Tanika E. Barber, known as The InnerG Healer, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Holistic Therapist, and founder of MBS Therapeutics PLLC, blending traditional therapy with holistic healing. She also leads Let’s Heal Sis, a wellness community empowering women through self-care and connection. A certified Reiki Master, Sound Healer, and Meditation Guide, Tanika integrates breathwork and energy healing into transformative experiences. Through Beyond the Couch, she mentors therapists transitioning into private practice. Her mission is to create safe spaces for healing, self-discovery, and growth.
Damion Harmon, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience, is recognized as "Not Your Average Therapist" for his innovative, holistic approach to healing. He specializes in providing eclectic care for individuals, families, and couples, with a dedicated focus on promoting men’s mental health and breaking down stigma. As an accomplished speaker with extensive experience in leading speaking engagements and forums, Damion captivates audiences with his passionate insights on mental wellness and social equity. His work inspires others to embrace vulnerability, growth, and transformative change.
Mearl Johnakin is a Specialist in School Psychology who has been servicing Title 1 Schools across Charlotte Mecklenburg Community for the last 5 years. While deciding to make a career change & enter grad school in her 30s was a challenge, her strong sense of community & faith pushed her to National Certification & founding Born Brilliant LLC. As first-time mother, newlywed, & career woman, Mearl remains committed to putting her family first while supporting marginalized children within the education system.
