Coding Video Games (Flying Game) Workshop | Coding Club | St Helens

Join our Digital Arts Box Coding Video Games (Flying Game) workshop for an exciting adventure where we'll create a unique game - the “Flying Battle Game”.

Using MakoCode Arcade, your young person will craft their very own video game from start to finish. They will design a hero battleship and program it to take down enemy pilots. Then, once the coding is complete, they'll have the opportunity to play the game and experience the fantastic world they've brought to life! 

No prior experience is required for any activity, and all equipment will be provided by us. Our friendly tutors will be there to support you every step of the way.

Who can get involved?

This club is for young people aged 11-16 from St Helens.

When is this club?

This club is on Monday 6th January 2024, 4pm - 6pm.

Where will the workshop take place?

St Helens Library, The World of Glass, Chalon Way E, WA10 1BX****The car park at the venue allows you 10 minutes FREE parking ONLY for drop off and pick up. If you are going to stay longer, there is a charge payable at the venue.****

How much does it cost?

This project is funded by the LF Foundation for young people from St Helens from disadvantaged backgrounds. The fund is administered by The Community Foundation for Lancashire and Merseyside, therefore it is free to attend.

What equipment should I bring?

Digital Arts Box will bring all of the equipment needed to participate in this session.
