If we don't fight privatization now, we are going to lose our public health care. Join the protest on Weds September 24th as we create a CODE RED human chain down hospital row.
The Ford government is speeding up the destruction of our public health care system, rapidly moving us toward a U.S.-style for-profit system:
• Runaway privatization takes funding and staff away from public health care services.
• Staffing shortages force emergency departments to close – health care workers are left with impossible workloads, patients wait longer and suffer more.
• Private clinics are violating the Canada Health Act, charging patients $100s to $1000s for surgeries and diagnostic tests in illegal user fees and extra-billing.
