Cocktails & Canvas: Loose Watercolors with Karen Utech
Thursday, September 10: 6- 9 pm
Come join us for a light-hearted night of painting while you enjoy sipping on a cocktail. Invite friends to join you or meet up with like-minded others for a fun, artful night out. Enjoy experimentation and learning the foundations of watercolor and its various techniques. Learn how to be loose, create simple clean washes and save the details toward the end of the painting experience. Water is the key to painting loose; also key is allowing the water and pigment to do the painting for you. Students will learn wet-into-wet, spattering, spraying and dripping techniques to create a 5x7 landscape card to take home. This class is suitable for beginners and students with some experience. All supplies and your first cocktail are included in the class fee; students should bring a terry cloth towel.
