Coatesville Youth Initiative's 2026 Backpack Give Away

The Coatesville Youth Initiative is celebrating back-to-school season (yes, already!) with our annual backpack giveaway on August 15th, 2026! This year, CYI is giving away up to 800 FREE backpacks filled with all the essential school supplies to Coatesville students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade!
We’re thrilled to support our community’s youth by providing backpacks with prepacked supplies to help youth feel supported and come back to school prepared to learn and succeed. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to make a difference and celebrate together. Register now!
Important Information for you to know:
- For Coatesville Area School District Residents only!
- Pre-registration is required!
- Children must be present to receive a backpack.
- Backpacks are given away to Kindergarden to Grade 12.
- Backpacks must be picked up on August 15, 2026 between 10AM and 1PM.
- Registration is first come first served. A backpack with supplies will be prepared for all registred youth.
- Backpacks are provided to help youth feel supported and come back to school prepared to learn and succeed.

Info: Event attendees will experience a 3-part process. You will wait in line to have your registration verified, go inside to pick your backpack, and then leave. It is as easy as 1, 2, and 3.
