Help clean up Coatesville! To celebrate World and National Cleanup Day- we will remove litter between 7:30AM-2 PM and host 2 events - you do not need to attend both events, but you are welcome! The 1st event cleaning up Valley Rd will be run by the Chester County Litter Lifters and volunteers from Keep Chester County Beautiful- start time: 7:30 AM - park at 134 strode Ave west end fire dept parking lot. Ends at 10:30 AM. The 2nd event cleaning up the city streets and sidewalks will be run by Shakira Davis of 2nd Century Alliance- start time 10 AM- meet at 228 Lincoln Hwy East. Parking meters NO CHARGE day of event. WEAR bright clothes, long shirts and pants, closed-toe sturdy shoes, sunglasses. BRING a small backpack to carry trash bags, and a filled reusable water bottle. Safety tips, waivers, vests, gloves, litter grabbers and trash bags provided at check in. For the Valley rd clean up we welcome teens 15 yrs and older and require a parent’s signature if under 18. Volunteers must email [email protected]to help as liability waivers are required and we need to know in advance who is attending. Safety/ traffic support from Valley Twp, Coatesville PD and PA State Police. This is a partnership with Keep Chester County Beautiful, Chester County Litter Lifters and Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance.
