Develop your coaching skills with an immersive training day led by Rob Lovatt FBHS. This day is designed for coaches preparing for BHS Stage 3, 4, 5 or Fellowship coach assessments, as well as anyone wanting a deeper understanding of what is required at each level or looking to strengthen their coaching across multiple disciplines.What the Day Covers:
Each session provides practical, hands‑on learning and constructive feedback. You’ll work through:
* Assessment overview for each stage
* Evaluating horse–rider combinations
* Coaching practice presentation
* Coaching demonstration
* Practical coaching session:
Dressage coaching
Show jumping, arena eventing or polework
You will have the opportunity to coach two ridden sessions, receive personalised feedback, and take away clear action points to support your progression. You’ll also observe fellow coaches and take part in discussions with Rob on coaching methods, problem‑solving, and developing your own style.
Skills records can be signed off where the required standard is demonstrated.

Limited Coaching Places
To ensure high‑quality, individual attention, practical coaching places are limited to just 6 participants. Observer places are also available.

APCs - £120.00 per session
APCs (BHS North Region) - £100.00 per person * Please note that these sessions are subsidised for coaches living in the BHS North Region through legacy funding, therefore specific criteria must be met.
