About this Event
This is a hard hat tour on an active construction job site. Please make sure to wear long pants and close toe shoes. Please also bring your own hard hat, safety vest, and safety glasses.
There is paid parking in the lot between the jobsite and parking garage for shorter walk. There is free parking for the job site on the 5th floor of the parking garage. Please see below map.
The Infrastructure Investment Jobs Act has allocated $167 million for a new research facility to be built on the Colorado School of Mines campus that will allow USGS researchers to work alongside the university’s geoscience and energy professors. The new building will house the USGS Geology, Geophysics and Geochemistry Science Center and the Central Energy Resources Science Center.
