“smartIAQ Air Cleaning for Energy Savings”
About this Event

“smartIAQ Air Cleaning for Energy Savings”

In our climate, we use a lot of energy to condition outside air – heating in the winter, and cooling in the summer. What if there was a way to reduce these loads, without compromising on indoor air quality? Thanks to recent updates to ASHRAE 62.1 and the IAQP method, that is now possible with the use of ASHRAE approved air cleaning device. In short, careful filtration of harmful contaminants allows one to meet (or exceed) IAQ code targets without the need for as much outside air. Cleaner air, less OA, more energy saved. Third-party tested, proven, and approved by ASHRAE.

Learning Objectives:

  • SmartIAQ technology and the IAQP Indoor Air Quality Procedure in ASHRAE 62.1
  • IAQP approach to meeting ASHRAE 62.1
  • Understanding the SmartIAQ technology
  • Filter technology
  • How SmartIAQ can reduce tonnage on AHUs and other central building systems.,
  • Monitoring of VOCs to confirm indoor air quality and response to elevated contaminates levels to clean air at the occupied zone.
  • NPBI for pathogen and ultra-fine particle mitigation meets ASHRAE 241
  • BMS integration and monitoring
  • ASHRAE 241 Equivalent Clean Airflow ratings (ECA)
