About this Event

Northwest Arkansas is changing: Growing neighborhoods, new public spaces, evolving transportation options. What should that future look like?

The residents of the region are being asked this question constantly. This free public event caps off a week of specialized education and training held across Northwest Arkansas by the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), a nonprofit organization promoting walkability, community, connection, and character through urban design and policy.

This public event invites residents to connect with local planners, designers, and community leaders discussing topics like walkability, transit, housing, economic opportunity, and regional growth. Hear from nationally renowned speakers and learn about trends shaping the region as well as how residents, businesses, and local government can shape the future for better outcomes.

This is a space for learning and imagining - together. Anyone who wants to learn more about urbanism or its impact on the future of Northwest Arkansas is welcome.

This program includes:

  • Understanding the economics of a growing region
  • A discussion on the Regional Transportation Plan
  • Pre-approved buildings and how they can streamline better growth
  • Active transportation infrastructure
  • and more!
