For all Lifeguards, Alumni, Alumnae and Friends of the Cape May Beach Patrol
The CMBP Celebration of Life is back! It will be the same great time and the same purpose - to gather, laugh, tell old stories, create new stories and remember our friends who have passed. They live on through the stories we tell. Unfortunately, too many friends who have passed in recent years - Dave Velli, Will Mendo, Mike Reicherter, Norm Inferrera and Captain Buzzy Mogck, who influenced the lives of hundreds of men and women on the CMBP. Since the last COL, two years ago, we have lost Norm Smith, Tom Maher, John White, Stanley Holmes, Bill Garrison and Tyler Jaggers.
The reason we started the Celebration of Life is to remember always our good friends and the good times. This is the time to reconnect and celebrate because our friends live on through the stories people tell. It is also important, as an Alumni/Alumnae Association, to connect with the current members of the CMBP, who are encouraged to attend. Monday August 10th is the day to honor our friends who are no longer with us, renew old friendships and build new ones. Pass the word, rehearse your stories, polish your imitations and get ready for a great party! We hope to see you there.
