It’s almost here! My dream is to watch the next Severance episode with friends, getting our real-time gasps and reactions. And since I can’t pick which friends I want to watch with, I pick … all of you! The Mounds theatre seats 80ish people so please feel free to bring friends, dates, family - anyone who loves the show!
I will be providing refreshments in the form of an egg, melon, and waffle party. Feel free to bring an hors d’oeurve or non alcoholic drinks to share. The Mounds sells candy and drinks as well. Please RSVP so I get enough food.
I’m asking people to donate a suggested $5 to the theatre (more if you can, less if you can’t) as a thank you for letting us use their space. The money helps the nonprofit with winter utilities. Cash or card are accepted.
Considerations: I haven’t thrown a CMAP Mixer since the pandemic, so many of you are new. I have a fun and eclectic group of friends, and we are very tolerant and open people.
We are safe for LGBTQIA people, and anyone who uncomfortable watching TV with a queer person might be more comfortable staying home.
I also have a lot of friends in recovery, and while alcohol is for sale at the theatre (liquor law says we cannot bring our own), the vibe for this event is chill low key hang (with a theme!).
