Get in the hole and join the club; we are going on an adventure! Club Wormhole welcomes all to join our gang of alt comedians, clowns and weirdos for a night of comedy, art and transcendence!
THIS COMEDY NIGHT IS BASED ON ACTUAL DOCUMENTED ACCOUNTS. This April, suspend your disbelief from an even higher point than normal - that UFO up there will do! With Easter on the way, we dive into the eggs files! Join Mulder and Scully (Rosa & Katie) on the trail of an obscure urban myth: a mysterious - and possibly murderous - bunny.
And that’s not the only cryptid on stage this month! We welcome back a roster of returning favourites to the club, with a slew of awards and nominations to their names. R.S Lewis and Richard Dadd - scintillating staples of the Birmingham alternative scene; and in the headline slot, the ‘irresistible’ (The Wee Review) Catriona Dowden! Prepare for a night so good, you too will want to believe!
Featuring nonsense from the Club Wormhole Gang and special guests showcasing the best and most inventive of the country's alternative comedy scene.
Age recommendation: 12+. The show is not aimed at children/a family audience but the material from the Wormhole Gang usually tends to be relatively clean. Material from both the Gang and guests will be respectful and bigotry is not tolerated. Most guest acts tend to be relatively clean but we do not make this a requirement of them so family-friendly content is not guaranteed and discretion is advised.
Access info: There is a small step at the front door that there is a portable ramp to cover. There are four steps to the show space that there is a platform wheelchair lift (rated to 250kg) to bypass. There is a lip at the entrance to the room that we currently do not have a solution for (at most 2cm high). There are accessible toilets on the same level as the venue space. See video on YouTube.
Pricing: £8.50/£5.00 concessions (fees included). Concessions do not have a strict definition and will not be policed - if you need the concession price, please use it, even if you do not fall into one of the usual categories. No-one will be turned away for lack of funds (message us for guest list).
