Club TFE - Dunes Club & Lost Dunes

Located along Lake Michigan's shoreline, The Dunes Club and Lost Dunes are two paradises for golfers. The trip starts with lunch and a round at Tom Doak's Lost Dunes on Wednesday, May 21. That night, we'll head to Journeyman Distillery for a private dinner, putting contest, and whiskey tasting. On Thursday, we'll move over to Dunes Club where we'll have the course completely to ourselves for 36 holes of match play. The Dunes Club was Mike Keiser's forray into golf and offers an intimate hangout and the ultimate match-play layout. There are no tee markers, just nine holes and unlimited possibilities.

Lost Dunes

Right down the road, Lost Dunes is a Tom Doak original and offers a look at some of Doak's biggest and boldest. The course greets you with massive fairways but demands accuracy in your approach. Its green complexes are classic Doak, and may even be among his most daring. But while they are wild, the greens all play into the strategic nature of their hole and reward a properly struck shot. Even with the green complexes that need to be seen to be beleived, the property's sand dunes steal the show, highlighted in a dramatic finish that nagivates some of the most undulating parts of the property. It's a tremendous place to spend a day and will make for the perect start to our trip.

The format for this trip is a two-man team game. At Lost Dunes, we'll play an 18-hole qualifying best-ball round with you and your partner. Then, at Dunes Club, we'll play single elimination matches all day. Those who are eliminated will still continue to play all day.

• AIRPORTS - The Chicago airports are your best bets if you plan to fly in for our event. O'Hare (ORD) is about a 90-minute drive and Midway (MDW) is just over an hour to New Buffalo.
• HOTELS - Lodging is available at Lost Dunes for the night of May 21. If you are interseted, information will be provided to you after registration.
• Other hotel options in the area include the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn, and The Neighborhood Hotel. Or treat yourself with a stay a The Harbor Grand Hotel in New Buffalo.
• Please note that both golf courses are in the Eastern Time Zone.
