Club lectura español: Gente que conocí en los sueños de Luis Mateo Díez

Las cuatro historias de Gente que conocí en los sueños, libro inédito del escritor leonés Luis Mateo Díez, tienen el común denominador de una mezcla de irrealidad y fantasmagoría y, en tal sentido, algunas secretas revelaciones de lo que nos sucede e inquieta más allá de la vigilia, donde existen habitantes que se nos pueden aparecer, además de ser como nosotros mismos.Las historias tienen tonalidades de ensoñación y delirio y hay, entre esa gente, seres desnortados en su experiencia espiritual, muertos que van y vienen, fantasmas profesionales o amigos del diablo. No son las primeras historias de fantasía y misterio que podemos encontrar en un autor como Luis Mateo Díez, tan proclive a romper la delgada línea entre lo real y lo irreal, pero sí algunas de las que con mayor intensidad y belleza nos ofrecen esa exploración en un más allá que está a la vuelta de la esquina.

The four stories in Gente que conocí en los sueños, an unpublished book by Leonese writer Luis Mateo Díez, mix unreality and phantasmagoria and reveal some of the secrets of what happens to and worries us beyond the waking world, where inhabitants similar to ourselves can appear to us. The stories have shades of dreaminess and delirium, and amongst these people there are beings who are disorientated in their spiritual experience, dead people who come and go, professional ghosts, and friends of the devil. These are not the first stories of fantasy and mystery by an author like Luis Mateo Díez, who is known for blurring the line between the real and the unreal, but they are among the ones that offer us this exploration with the greatest intensity and beauty in another world that is just around the corner.
