Discover your creative process through clowning, watercoloring, and writing.
About this Event

Perhaps you have a story about yourself that you can’t draw, or paint, or write. This workshop is for you!

We will guide you through a series of exercises intended to help you better understand and quiet that inner critic because it turns out we all can indeed create. In fact, we believe it's an essential part of our human nature to do so.

In addition, for those artists with more formal training, this is an opportunity to reclaim a sense of play in your work or to discover new in-roads into your creative self.

This workshop, co-lead by Laura Kiyoi and Tom Spangenberg, focuses on process rather than product. In our experience, if you can discover a creative process where you feel ‘alive’ then the creation will also be ‘alive’ - regardless of perceived skill level. We want to help you find (or re-discover) that feeling!

  • This is a PWYW workshop with a suggested donation of $35 to cover the space rental + facilitators' time + supply expenses.
  • Please arrive a little before 10:00 so we can start on time.
  • Please wear movement clothes and bring water and a snack if you think you may need one.
