"When we drink a cup of tea, we drink a cloud."In these turbulent times, we welcome you to a moment of peace. No experience in tea ritual is necessary. You will be guided in a meditative practice of tea enjoyment -- or cloud drinking, as coined by the Buddhist teacher, Thich Nhat Hanh.
Our tea ritual is inspired by Asian styles of brewing and serving tea, often called Gong Fu Cha, or literally: serving tea with skill. Using traditional tea tools and accoutrements you will be guided through your cloud drinking, each steep of the leaves bringing forth different layers of flavor. Through focusing on the process of preparing and drinking tea, you are invited to come home to your body and the present moment. And through meeting yourself, you are ready to meet the world.
