Clothing Swap and Painting
About this Event
Join Let’s Talk Women of Colour for our final summer celebration as we come together to celebrate the community we’ve built and get excited for the fall!
Whether you’ve attended one of our events before or are looking to get more involved, this is a chance to meet new people, connect with our community, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon together. We’ll have ice cream, snacks, drinks, and fruit available throughout the event.
👗 Clothing & Item Swap
As we get ready for the new school year, bring clothing, jewelry, accessories, or other items you no longer want to swap with others! Swimwear is also welcome.
Any items that aren’t swapped will be donated to My Sister’s Closet, a social enterprise operated by Battered Women’s Support Services (BWSS). Founded in 2001, My Sister’s Closet promotes zero-waste fashion by making new and second-hand clothing accessible while supporting women-led initiatives. Proceeds from sales help fund BWSS’s violence prevention and intervention programs.
🎨 Art Activity
Get creative with us as we paint flowers inspired by our intersectional identities—celebrating the different cultures, experiences, and identities that make each of us unique. 🌷
This event is open to women and gender-diverse people of all ages.
Come for the art, stay for the community, and let’s close out the summer together!
