Closing Night Artist Talks

Join us for the closing of 'Oor Pogum Megankal: The Clouds that Go Home' in our pop-up gallery space Padaippakam.

Oor Pogum Megankal is an exhibition shaped by our longing for a home that transcends time and place. It offers a brief moment of sanctuary, through an excavation of colours, textures, stories, and memories of the past, present, and future.
Drawing from ancestral wisdom, collective memory, and the nuances of diasporic life, the works gathered here explore how we carry home with us: in our tongue, in craft, and in the objects and stories that survive war, displacement, and migration. It asks how archival practice extends to spirit, and how our ancestral knowledges are passed through craft and imagination. To this end, we shape, and become shaped by a home that rests in the quiet acts of care and resistance that remakes our sense of belonging.
