❤️ WE'RE BUILDING SOMETHING SPECIAL... AND WE NEED YOU! ❤️
What started as a simple idea has become a vision for our community.
If you know me, you know I have the hardest time getting rid of clothes. I have had to start over from scratch a few times in my life, and holding onto things comes naturally. I can clean out my closet... but those donation bags somehow end up sitting in my house, garage, or trunk for months. One day it hit me—I can't be the only one!
So why not create an event that makes giving back easy, fun, and impactful? My goal is to bridge the gap between two very real struggles, to connect the people who want to give with the people who could truly benefit. For those of us who have bags of clothes sitting in our closets, garages, or trunks and just need the right opportunity (or excuse!) to let them go, this is that opportunity. And for those who could use a little extra help, I want to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where they can shop with dignity and confidence.
I'm so excited to announce Closets for a Cause—a community event centered around giving back while helping families prepare for school, work, and life's next chapter.

This is more than a clothing event—it's a community movement.
👚 Bring Your Gently Used Clothing
You choose what works best for you! The options are endless with this event!
❤️ Donate your items
💲 Sell your items
🔄 Swap with others
🛍️ Shop for something "new-to-you"
We'll be collecting gently used women's and children's clothing (all ages, all sizes)—and yes, men's clothing is welcome too! Men's donations will be matched with a local organization that can put them to great use.
At the end of the event, if you don't want to take your remaining items home, simply leave them with us and we'll handle the donations.
💙 Community Shopping Certificates
One of the things I'm most excited about is offering Community Shopping Certificates.
These certificates will allow individuals and families who may be facing financial hardship to shop donated clothing with dignity and privacy.
If you or someone you know could benefit, please reach out to me privately before the event—or simply find me at the event. No announcements. No judgment. Just neighbors helping neighbors.
Because everyone deserves the confidence that comes with a fresh start.

I'm so excited that The Weichert's Angels will be joining us, and alongside other incredible community organizations.
All remaining donated clothing will benefit Safe Harbor, with additional organizations receiving donations as needs arise.
❤️ Why This Matters
This event isn't necessarily about making money from the clothes in your closet (but remains an option!).
It's about recognizing that something hanging in your closet could become someone else's confidence for a job interview... a child's first day of school... or a fresh start after a difficult season.
My hope is that Closets for a Cause becomes more than a one-day event. I want it to grow into a community-wide initiative where businesses, churches, nonprofits, and neighbors come together throughout the year to make giving back easier, more accessible, and more impactful.
