UPDATE: After receiving several messages from veterans and community members disappointed that the Volksmarch was being postponed… we’ve decided to just power through it and send it anyway despite not having any sponsors step up. 🇺🇸
Short of an F5 tornado dropping out of the sky… the CCVSC Volksmarch IS BACK ON!
Rain? Mud? Questionable life choices? Sounds like military training to us.
📍 START LOCATION:
Bike Path crossing at South Nelson Avenue
🗺 ROUTE:
We will follow the highlighted path all the way to Denver Park.
🥾 DISTANCE:
Just under 3 miles — manageable for most people with a decent pair of shoes and a little motivation.
🎁 ALL participants will receive a FREE event t-shirt.
💧 IMPORTANT:
Bring your own water and Scooby snacks, gedunk, pogey bait, or even a box nasty if that’s your style. Since this was brought back together quickly, we will NOT have dedicated sponsor aid stations set up along the route. We will however have one aid station about half way at the CCVSC office with some light refreshments and latrine.
🚐 BONUS:
If you decide to park or carpool at either end, the CCVSC will provide FREE van transportation back to your vehicle before or after the walk. HOWEVER You will need to let us know via private Facebook message where you need picked up.
