Clint Eastwood: A Life in Film is a portrait of the iconic filmmaker as he describes his
process of creating films. The 2007 documentary features an extended, intimate
interview with Clint Eastwood, covering his life, his career as a director and actor, and
his creative process. The documentary, which also incorporates personal archives, film
clips, and his experiences with the Pacific War projects, showcases Eastwood's
signature simplicity, humor, and humility as he discusses his journey in American
cinema.
Director's Bio
Born and educated in Paris, France, Michael Henry Wilson was a bicultural writer whose two passions, film and history, were evident in his projects: a feature documentary, “Reconciliation: Mandela’s Miracle (2009), “Clint Eastwood: A Life in Film,” (Arte, 2007), and “A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese,” the celebration of 100 years of American movies written and co-directed with Scorsese (BFI-Channel 4- Miramax). He passed away in 2014 but his many works in cinema and film books live on.
