Clinical Education Training Workshop

This Clinical Education Training Workshop is a professional development opportunity designed to certify local classroom teachers to supervise and mentor teacher interns.

This workshop covers the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) curriculum, focusing on the practical application of coaching and mentoring practices that meet the standards of clinical supervision. By participating, educators gain valuable skills to guide and support future educators effectively.

June 16-17 - Onsite classes - UCF Main Campus

*Participants must complete all modules and attend both the in-person dates to earn the Clinical Education Training certification.

Info: Participants will work through 3 modules at their own pace to learn more about mentorship, coaching with the CARE Model, and growth mindset. Activities include: course readings and 6 assignments, approximately 8-10 hours of total work time to complete.

Info: Participants will gather on UCF's main campus to learn more about the Florida Educator Accomplished Practices (FEAPs) and the Observation Cycle. Activities include: diagnosing teacher performance using formal and informal instruments, practicing feedback cycles, and designing professional development plans.
