We are partnering again with our friend Melissa Glowinski to host another event here at Wolf Hollow Ranch! With enough interest there will be a second September date booked as well! A little about Melissa -
Melissa is a MULTI WORLD CHAMPION trainer and competitor in the discipline of Extreme Cowboy Racing, most notably aboard her trusty MULE Jessica Rabbit, multi time competitor at Cowboy Up Challenge at the Calgary Stampede with her magnificent mule partner Jessica Rabbit and has many top 10 finishes at the World Championships in the Futurity (green horse) AND Pro divisions on both horses and mules with EXCA as well! Melissa has also competed in driving competitions, with her Shetland Ponies, has done mounted archery, is certified in belief repatterning (to aid in helping her students combat performance related anxiety) and is a trainer at Sawatzky Equine where she demonstrates her skills with mules, and horses alike, starting colts and coaching her team in EXCA events, and helps run the Colt Starting School along side Roland Sawatzky! Whether its groundwork, horsemanship or obstacle related, Melissa's skills and expertise can help you improve your partnership with your equine!
Her background of dressage, cross country and 3 day eventing and her degree in Equine Sports Therapy also gives her a unique approach to equine conditioning and fitness, and care of the equine athlete!
CLINIC INFO -
Melissa is dubbing this a “choose your own adventure” style clinic day. Each participant will get an hour with Melissa to themselves, topic of your choice (be it groundwork, horsemanship, or obstacles – obstacles will be restricted to what we have available at Wolf Hollow Ranch for what will fit on half the arena, to leave the other half open for flat work and other “topics”. If there are specific obstacles you want to work on that we have, please let us know ahead of time so we can have the appropriate things set up to save time!
We can take 6 to 8 participants for the day to ensure everyone gets their time with Melissa!
“Tuition” fee is $115 TOTAL PER session (includes gst), which also includes free auditing the rest of the DAY for all other sessions! Otherwise, auditing is $20/person for the day for non clinic participants. Deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking your spot, rest is due prior to participation.
May 31 2026 at Wolf Hollow Ranch, west of Red Deer, just north of Markerville. Time slots will get booked for each participant and I will add a "time table" to the event once its solidified.
