Mosconi Cup MVP “The Hatchman” Dennis Hatch and BCA Hall of Famer “The Rocket” Rodney Morris will be in our area this May/June. They are available to do group clinics with interested players. The format is a 3-hour teaching clinic at a cost of $200 per person. This is a very appropriate cost for players of their caliber for that span of time. They will fill two clinics of up to 10 players each if there is enough interest in our region. If we have the interest and commitment to bring them, they will also stick around for an exhibition match and meet & greet with our pool community.
If you want to sign up for a clinic slot, please let me know by Monday, April 7th so I can finalize a date, or let them know we don’t have enough interest.
I am not trying to sell you anything but if you’re wondering if you should participate, I have met Rodney and I know Dennis. They are both very personable and down to earth to speak with. Not intimidating at all. I participated in the clinic with Dennis and Earl last year and I was actually surprised how much one on one time we got with each of them and how they were able to simply the concepts. Nothing they said felt over my head or like I wasn’t good enough to benefit from it. I am using concepts they taught me for my personal play and in my beginner lessons with new players. I did not feel you needed to be at a certain level to benefit.
We are a small room trying to do a few big things when we can, so whether this happens is purely based on our firm interest and commitment. If you’re in, message me and I’ll start to compile a list. I understand it will depend on the date, but I need to gauge whether there is enough firm interest to move forward.
This would be a great way to celebrate our room’s 7th anniversary this May!
