Details: Joshua Tree National Park is a mecca for traditional rock climbing. With beautiful granite domes scattered across the landscape surrounded by Joshua Trees, the desert views can’t be beat. Known for its’ excellent, splitter cracks of a variety of difficulties and sizes, the area is a great place to learn to efficiently climb using the traditional methods of jamming your hands and feet. While this type of climbing is not intuitive, it is so much fun once you get the hang of it! We’ll learn different jamming techniques based on crack sizes, observing instructors as they demonstrate how to make upward progress. While this trip is designed primarily for folks who have some rock climbing experience, folks of all abilities are welcome to join.
